We are looking for a developer to join us at
https://www.ascendantcompliance.com/ and work on our SaaS app
https://www.ascendantcompliancemanager.com .
Our architecture uses Lift's REST, snippets, MongoDB and we are migrating
our frontend from Angular 1.x to Markojs

We are a distributed team with developers across the US, South America and
Europe and all our communications are through https://www.flowdock.com/

This is a contract position, but there could be an option for full time
employment for US residents.

Requirements:

* Lift
* JavaScript (you don't need to know Marko, but be willing to learn)
* Able to work under little supervision. [1]
* MongoDB (the basics of how to query, sort, etc are enough)
* Probably the most important, after knowing Lift, is being able to accept
code review comments. [2]

[1] We normally discuss your task on flowdock and then off you go to do the
work, we encourage everyone to ask questions if they need anything but
we won't be asking you for status report every 12 hours.

[2] We don't merge any code that hasn't gone through code review (we use
github). We try to keep more or less the same pattern/style across the app,
so that bringing new developers up to speed is easier, if you are able to
take feedback and understand our reasons for code changes, this is the
place for you.

What you get:

A friendly work environment where no question is silly, no matter how basic
it may sound, you are encouraged to ask and someone will be there to answer
it.
Exposure to the Compliance and Trading industry in the US (and we are
expanding to other markets).

If you have any questions or would like to apply,
please email me at ***@ascendantcompliance.com and Neil at
***@ascendantcompliance.com

Thanks

Diego

Hi Vasya,

Thanks for your interest (and for anyone else wondering the same), no,
there is't a visa sponsor opportunity right now. All the developers work
remotely, I mentioned the office we have in CT in case there was a
developer near there, but in the office right now we have support people
and product management level.

Regards,

Diego
